With the second wave of coronavirus raging havoc across the country many cricketers have also lost their loved ones. A day before, 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 World Cup winner Piyush Chawla lost his father and now on Wednesday (12th May), former Indian cricketer RP singh lost his father.
The former pacer took to his Twitter account and informed about the sad demise of his father due to coronavirus.
"It is with deepest grief and sadness we inform the passing away of my father, Mr Shiv Prasad Singh. He left for his heavenly abode on 12th May after suffering from Covid. We request you to keep my beloved father in your thoughts and prayers. RIP Papa," RP Singh Tweeted.
Earlier young Chetan Sakariya, who represented Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2021, lost their fathers due to COVID.
RP Singh, who won the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup with India in 2007, represented India in 14 Tests, 58 one-day internationals, and 10 Twenty20 Internationals.
