Pakistan recently registered a comfortable 2-0 Test series win over Zimbabwe in their own backyard. The subcontinent side proved to be too strong for the African nation as both Test matches ended in three days with Pakistan winning both matches by an innings.

While talking Zimbabwe's captain Brendan Taylor said about the series, he said, “I would have liked a few more positives. To finish both games in three days and just after three days, we were a little bit off the mark.

The home side managed to cross the 200-run mark only once in four innings with Regis Chakabva being the only Zimbabwe batsman to get more than 100 runs in the series.

We have got a lot of things to address, particularly with the batting, maybe the mental side of it, little bit more discipline,” Taylor said, who himself had a disappointing series as he had only 92 runs to his name in 4 innings.

The 35-year-old then revealed that even though Pakistan had really skillful bowlers, the Zimbabwe batsman failed to show intent while batting as the team had multiple batting collapses and was never in the game.

They (Pakistan) are very skillful, disciplined bowlers. If you just try to survive, it can be a bit tricky. I just tried to take the attack to them and then hoped things would ease up a little bit and field would spread,” the right-hand batsman said.

Even though Pakistan dominated Zimbabwe in the recent Test series, some former Pakistan cricketers and experts were not happy as this series was not a good advertisement for Test cricket and hoped the African nation would do well in the future.
