A picture of a circular from Virat Kohli’s school when he was studying in the ninth standard has gone viral on social media. This was accompanied with a photo featuring Virat Kohli with his school team.
In the circular, the school announced that three students including Virat Kohli have been selected to Delhi’s U-15 team and Kohli is named as the captain of the side.
It is believed that Kohli shifted to Saviour Convent School in Paschim Vihar to emphasize more on cricket which proved to be a turning point in his life as while leading Delhi’s U-15 team in the 2002–03 Polly Umrigar Trophy, and he ended up with 172 runs at an average of 34.40.
Later was Kohli named as the captain of the side of Saviour Convent School Delhi’s U-15 team. The leadership even then brought the best out of young Kohli. He smashed 390 runs in 5 innings at an average of 78 in the tournament.
