"Virus is right at my doorstep, it will be at yours tomorrow," R Ashwin urges people to stay safe

Veteran Indian off-spinner R Ashwin took to his Twitter account and urged people to take precautions and stay safe amid the second wave of COVID-19 in India.

The second wave of coronavirus is witnessing a precipitous rise of cases across India and several states have imposed curfews and other restrictions as they try to curb the spread of the deadly virus. 

Talking to his official Twitter account veteran Indian off-spinner R Ashwin urged people to follow best practices to avoid contracting the deadly disease.

The off-spinner revealed that the virus had reached his doorstep and sent his sincere prayers to everyone to follow COVID-19 rules and help in tiding over the health crisis.

“All I can say right now!! We are all spoiling towards ....sday. The virus is right at my doorstep, it will be at yours tomorrow. Let’s try and follow best practices and my sincere prayers #COVIDSecondWave,” R Ashwin Tweeted

Earlier his wife Prithi Narayanan also tweeted and asked people a query related to parents testing positive for COVID-19.

“Parents who have tested + and have young children(under 8) showing symptoms, what did your docs recommend ? Did you test them? Or just treated fever/ cough?" She Tweeted. 

R Ashwin is currently playing in IPL 2021 for Delhi Capitals (DC) However, his teammate Akshar Patel has also tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently in isolation at BCCI’s medical faculty.
