Dinesh Karthik named in commentary panel for The Hundred 2021

Sky Sports announced its star-studded commentary line-up for The Hundred 2021.

With 100 days left for the launch of The Hundred 2021, Sky Sports has on Monday (April 12) announced its star-studded commentary team for its coverage for this new blockbuster sporting event – a 100-ball cricket tournament to be held in England and Wales this summer.

England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) professional franchise 100-ball cricket tournament – The Hundred was originally scheduled to start in the summer of 2020, but the competition was postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic across the globe.

Well now, the first edition of The Hundred with 8 teams both men’s and women’s format is all set to get underway this summer and Sky Sports has already kick-started the countdown by announcing the list of the presenters for the tournament in England and Wales.

Presenters Andrew Flintoff, Kass Naidoo, Zainab Abbas, and Jacqueline Shepherd will lead the coverage of The Hundred for Sky Sports, while other cricketing stars from around the world, including Dinesh Karthik, Stuart Broad, Kevin Pietersen, Tammy Beaumont, Daren Sammy, Mel Jones, Wasim Akram, Lydia Greenway, and Kumar Sangakkara will join them in the panel.

Sky Sports regulars Nasser Hussain, Ebony Rainford-Brent, Rob Key, Ian Ward, David Lloyd, Nick Knight, Mike Atherton, and Mark Butcher will be joined by the latest commentary team selected for The Hundred and Sky hopes the amazing line-up of presenters and commentators will entertain the fans incredibly.

Meanwhile, the Sky Sports team will offer viewers sensational coverage of The Hundred, including the build-up, live-action, and post-match analysis, along with all the action, drama, and entertainment live from cricket grounds across the United Kingdom.

Fans around the world will be able to watch all 68 games of The Hundred live on Sky Sports' dedicated channel – Sky Sports and Sky Sports Mix, whereas women's matches and a significant number of men's games will be streamed live on the Sky Cricket YouTube channel.

Director of Sky Sports Cricket, Bryan Henderson said: “We are so excited to help launch this fantastic new tournament this summer. It's going to be an incredible standard of cricket played at some of the best grounds in the world and everyone's invited.”

Henderson signed off by saying, “Hopefully, the competition will inspire many girls and boys to pick up a bat and ball.
