Sri Lanka Cricket will have a four-member committee set up including these two legends.
Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has named a four-member technical advisory committee on Friday, February 5 and included Sri Lankan greats Kumar Sangakkara and Muttiah Muralitharan in it as well.
The commitee also includes two other former cricketers, Aravinda de Silva and Roshan Mahanama. While De Silva was the Man of the Match in the 1996 World Cup Final which Sri Lanka won, Mahanama was a part of the squad too.

The four-member committee has been set up to increase the quality of cricket in Sri Lanka at the domestic level as well as international level. A piece of news like this will be welcomed with open hands in Sri Lanka where the quality or results of the national side has steeped low in the last few years after the likes of Sangakkara, Mahela Jayawardena and Rangana Herath have hung up their boots.
The sports ministry said, "The committee is expected to work closely with the SLC in order to raise the quality standards of the game both domestically and internationally."
On selection of Sangakkara, Muralitharan, Mahanama and De Silva into the committee, SLC revealed that the decision was taken due to the recommendations from Minister of Youth and Sports, Namal Rajapaksa.
A SLC statement read, "Sri Lanka Cricket appointed the following members to the ‘Cricket Committee,’ taking into consideration the recommendations made by the Minister of Youth and Sports, Honorable Namal Rajapaksa."
Aravinda de Silva has been announced as the Chairman of the technical advisroy committee.
