India captain Virat Kohli talked about the new innings in his life as a parent. Kohli says he has adapted to the situations and being a cricketer helped him. He and Anushka were blessed with a baby girl last month.

Kohli is comfortable with everything as a parent to take care of his child. He said learning to change diapers wasn't a big deal for him as he always wanted to learn it.

"Luckily as a cricketer, I have become someone who adapts pretty well to situations and Ravi Bhai would know that. For me to understand how to change diapers, learning all those things wasn't tough because I was keen to learn.

"I wouldn't say I have mastered it but I am very very comfortable with everything I have learned so far and I wanted to. For me, learning to change diapers is not difficult. I wanted to learn," Kohli told Star Sports.

India head coach Ravi Shastri is confident of Kohli handling fatherhood after looking at how he handled success and failure in his life.

"The way he has evolved, you knew he was an uncut diamond there. You got to have the ups and downs and feel the head, have the success and failures. He has handled that beautifully and I am sure he will handle fatherhood as well in a similar manner," Shastri said.

Kohli had prioritized the birth of his child over the Test series against Australia. For him, it's always family first and he also spoke about the experience of becoming a father during the press conference ahead of the England series.

"Becoming a father has been the greatest moment of my life. I can't compare it to a series win. But the connection to the team doesn't go away even if I'm not there. We are invariably connected and I was watching all the action," said Kohli.
