Sourav Ganguly got two more stents implanted on Thursday, January 28.
Former Indian cricketer and current BCCI President Sourav Ganguly hasn't had the best of months when it comes to his personal health. He has complained about chest pains twice and had to undergo angioplasty as many times.
While he was discharged after the implantation of a single stent earlier this month, he fell ill again on Wednesday, January 27 and was admitted to Apollo hospital in Kolkata. He underwent another angioplasty on Thursday, January 28 where a couple more stents were inserted into his blocked arteries.
The angioplasty was carried out by renowned cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty and Dr Ashwin Mehta along with the team that consisted of Dr Aftab Khan, Dr Ajit Desai, Dr Saroj Mondal, and Dr Saptarshi Basu. The operation was successful and he had a good night's sleep.

The doctors will be carrying out a few tests the following day i.e. Friday, January 29.
PTI quoted a hospital official as saying, "Sourav Ganguly's health condition is stable. He had a good sleep at night. All his vital parameters are normal. Senior doctors will carry out a thorough checkup following which a decision will be taken whether to move him to another ward."
He further revealed that the oxygen support given to Ganguly has also been removed now.
