Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli is the brand ambassador of Online Rummy game.
The Kerala High Court has issued a notice to India's cricket team captain Virat Kohli, actors Tamannaah Bhatia and Aju Vargheese after a petition for a ban on online rummy.
Kohli and the two actors are the brand ambassadors of Online Rummy games. The victims alleged brand ambassadors play a significant role in getting youth addicted.
The high court has issued notices and asked for a response from the Kerala government on the issue. The petitioner had filed a petition that the innocent people have lost their lives after suffering huge losses in online rummy games.
As per the reports of PTI, Vineeth, 27, had committed suicide at Kuttichal in Thiruvananthapuram a fortnight ago after losing Rs 21 lakh.

Sajesh, 32, who had lost a huge amount playing online rummy told IANS: "The intervention of the honorable High court is welcome as I know that several people have lost a huge amount of money playing this online game and I myself have lost more than Rs 6 lakh.
"The brand ambassadors indeed play a big role in attracting the gullible youth in playing this game which soon turns into an addiction. I had to seek professional medical help to come out of this addiction and the court must ban this game in India."
Last year, an advocate from Chennai had filed a plea in Madras High Court seeking a ban on online gambling, and arrest & prosecution of all the gambling sites, and their ambassadors.
