Ravichandran Ashwin's 2016 got even better on Thursday, after he was named ICC Cricketer of the Year and ICC Test Cricketer of the Year. Ashwin will receive the Sir Garfield Sobers trophy in due course, making him the 3rd Indian after Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid to receive the coveted prize.
Ashwin currently tops the ICC Test rankings for both bowlers and allrounders. He recently plundered over 300 runs and took 28 wickets in India's 4-0 series win over England. ICC posted a video of Ashwin reacting to the announcement:
