Babar suffered a fracture in his thumb during a throw-down session on December 12.
Former Pakistan cricketer and commentator Bazid Khan compared India's performance with Pakistan in their ongoing respective Tests, without both team's key players. India captain Virat Kohli returned home after the first Test against Australia taking paternity leave.
Despite the absence of Kohli, India are in a dominant position in the Boxing Day Test at MCG. They have picked six wickets of Australia and the home side has a lead of only 2 runs at the end of the third day's play. If not a big comeback from the Aussies, it should be an easy win for India.
Pakistan is also playing the first Test match against New Zealand at Mount Maunganui without their newly appointed Test captain Babar Azam as he suffered a fracture in his thumb during a throw down session in Queenstown on December 12.
The visitors are struggling without Babar and Bazid tried to highlight that India isn't dependent on only one man, unlike Pakistan.
"Kohli gaya tu un ke team kaise ho gaye! Babar gaya tu hamare team kaise ho gaye!", wrote Bazid on Twitter.
Pakistan conceded a lead of 192 runs in the first innings of the opening Test before stumps of day three. They were bowled out on just 239 runs in the response of New Zealand's 431.
