Abey Kuruvilla, Debashish Mohanty, and Chetan Sharma named India selectors

The trio will join Sunil Joshi and Harvinder Singh in the BCCI selection panel.

On Thursday, December 24, 2020, the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising of RP Singh, Madan Lal and Sulakshana Naik named the members of the All-India Senior Selection Committee after a virtual meeting.

The CAC after much deliberation decided to choose former India fast bowlers, Chetan Sharma, Abey Kuruvilla, and Debashish Mohanty as the three members who will join Harvinder Singh and Sunil Joshi in the senior selection committee of BCCI.

The committee further recommended Chetan Sharma for the role of Chairman of the senior men’s selection committee based on seniority (total number of Test matches). The CAC will review the candidates after a one-year period and make recommendations to the BCCI.
