Nicholas Pooran gets engaged to girlfriend Alyssa Miguel; shares adorable pictures

The cricketer announces engagement with long time girlfriend on Instagram.

West Indies’ latest batting sensation Nicholas Pooran has on Tuesday, November 17, announced his engagement with his long-time girlfriend Alyssa Miguel.

The left-hander, who has recently finished his IPL 2020 stint with King XI Punjab in the UAE, surprised his fans across the globe with the grand news of his life on Tuesday.

The cricketer also shared an adorable picture of the moment when he got down on one knee to propose to Alyssa and planted a ring on his partner’s finger on Instagram.

Alyssa was recently in the UAE for the IPL 2020 which came to an end last week to cheer for Pooran and KXIP throughout the competition in the UAE. The cricketer captioned the post by saying, “God has blessed us with a great blessing. I am glad to announce that @kathrina_miguel and I got engaged. Love you Migz I got you.”

Meanwhile, Alyssa also shared a couple of pictures on her Instagram handle to express her happiness over the development.

Soon after the news broke out, the couple was showered with wishes from the cricket fraternity led by Anil Kumble, the head coach of KXIP, who wrote on the post: “Congratulations NickyP! God bless you both.”

West Indies’ limited-overs captain Kieron Pollard also congratulated the couple by saying, “The professional ... congrats @nicholaspooran @kathrina_miguel” while New Zealand all-rounder and Pooran’s KXIP teammate Jimmy Neesham wrote, “Yessss boy! Congrats.”

On the other hand, West Indies Test skipper Jason Holder also wishes the youngster, “Man oh man. LOVE is pure! Congrats to you both” while his KXIP teammate Mandeep Singh commented, “Congrats Nicky paaji! Bruaaaahh,” followed by Arshdeep Singh, “Congrats Nicky praa.”

Noteworthy, Pooran is currently in New Zealand with the West Indies squad for the T20I series against the Black Caps after that, he will travel to Australia to play in the BBL 10 for the very first time in his career for the Melbourne Stars next month.
