Kapil Dev was admitted to hospital after complaining about chest pain.
Former India cricketer Chetan Sharma shared an update on Kapil Dev's health. The World Cup 1983 winning captain Kapil was hospitalized after chest pain earlier this week.
Kapil underwent angioplasty as heart issues were diagnosed on being admitted to the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute (Okhla Road). But now, he has been discharged from the hospital after successful angioplasty.
"Good News Kapil Paji is absolutely fine & has been discharged from the hospital. Jai mata di.", wrote Chetan on his Twitter account.

He also shared a picture of Kapil on his Twitter account and wrote, "Dr Atul Mathur did Kapil paji angioplasty. He is fine and discharged. Pic of @therealkapildev on time of discharge from hospital."
“Mr. Kapil Dev got discharged today afternoon. He’s doing fine and can resume his regular daily activity soon. He’ll be under regular follow-up consultation with Dr. Atul Mathur,” the hospital said in a statement.
