England opener Jason Roy, who missed the T20I series against Pakistan and Australia, has been deemed fit enough and has been added to the squad for the upcoming ODI series against the Kangaroos.

The three ODI matches will be played on September 11, 13, and 16 at Old Trafford, Manchester.

The England squad which was announced for the ODI series saw some changes as Joe Denly, who was originally named in the squad as a reserve, has left the bio-secure bubble and returned to Kent. In his place, Yorkshire’s Dawid Malan has been named as a reserve.

England won the T20I series 2-1 but narrowly missed the chance to become no.1 in the ICC T20I team rankings, as Australia’s victory in the third match, enabled them to hold onto that spot.

The reigning world champions will be hoping to come out on the top in ODIs as well, given their reputation.
