The third and final Test between England and Pakistan saw the home side demolish and demoralize the opposition bowling unit in a display of amazing batting and grit. Zak Crawley and Jos Buttler made the wayward and ineffective Pakistani bowlers pay with a 359-run partnership for the 5th wicket.

Pakistan had managed to reduce England to 127/4 but then their bowlers lost their plot as Crawley and Buttler started counter-attacking. Crawley slammed his maiden century and ended with 267 to his name with 34 fours and 1 six. Meanwhile, Jos Buttler notched up his second Test hundred and made his career-best 152 with 13 fours and 2 sixes as England ran home with the advantage with a score of 583/8d.

ENG v PAK 2020: Mushtaq Ahmed defends Pakistan bowlers despite "tough" opening day in Southampton

Three of the Pakistani bowlers in Shaheen Afridi, Yasir Shah, and young Naseem Shah went for over 100 runs and this led to them being criticized on social media.

One of them was former Pakistani spinner Danish Kaneria who took a massive jibe at the bowlers on Twitter by sharing the Pakistani bowlers’ card and saying, “It will be difficult to score 100 from our batsmen’s but bowlers have reached the landmark.”

Meanwhile, in their reply, Pakistan lost four first-innings wickets for 40 runs at the time of writing this piece, all to James Anderson, who is inching towards the 600 Test wickets mark.
