Started and ended with a run-out; MS Dhoni retires completing full circle

When MS Dhoni walked off the field in World Cup 2019 semifinal, fans had a very little clue he won't walk in wearing the Indian jersey again. His career ended with a run-out, just like how it started when he made debut for India back in 2004.

Dhoni is one of the finest runners between the wickets and has always shown lighting fast running. Being a good judge, converting 1s into 2s was easy for him. But ironically, he got run-out in two innings which would stay in his memory forever.

In his first match for India against Bangladesh, Dhoni didn't have a good start to his career. He tried to steal a quick single to settle his nerves on debut game, but ended up getting run-out after batting partner Mohammad Kaif sent him back.

The last run-out which came in a crucial match of World Cup 2019, has stayed inside Dhoni for a long time. He has highlighted it in his video announcing retirement on social media.

India's last hope to carry them to World Cup 2019 final was Dhoni and when he went for a double, the 39-year-old miscalculated it and ended up getting run-out thanks to a direct hit by New Zealand's Martin Guptill.
