Former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi has often been found airing his views against India and Kashmir and has been involved in a war of words with BJP MP Gautam Gambhir on those issues.

Afridi, who recently recovered from Coronavirus, has time and again spoke against India and in favor of Pakistan occupied Kashmir and his views and words have led to his two Indian friends Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh, breaking off ties with him, despite urging Indian fans to donate to Afridi’s charitable foundation in the past.

Speaking on the reason behind his views on India and Kashmir, Afridi told Cricket Pakistan that, “One should always speak the truth, no matter what happens. I believe humanity is above everything else which is why I don't shy away from voicing my opinion, even if it involves India.”

He also talked about Pakistan's latest batting star Babar Azam and mentioned that comparison with Virat Kohli shouldn't bother the new white-ball captain.

"Babar Azam is the backbone of Pakistan team and I don't think he feels the pressure of being constantly compared with Virat Kohli. I'm hopeful that Babar will start winning matches for Pakistan single-handedly, soon,” Afridi said.
