Harsha Bhogle is celebrating his 59th birthday.
He was the first Indian commentator to be invited by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation to cover the Indian tour of Australia in 1991-92. He has also covered the IPL since 2009, but was removed from the commentary team in 2016, but has since come back in the comm box.

Bhogle has also written a number of books, including a biography of Mohammad Azharuddin, and has been associated with Cricbuzz since 2016.
As he turned 59 today, Bhogle received a special wish from Indian cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar who posted on Twitter, “Your commentary and sharp insights have always added so much perspective to the game of cricket. It has always made the fans feel so much more closer to the game. Wishing you a very happy birthday Harsha!”
To which, Bhogle replied, “Blessed. Your bat spoke, the rest were just add-on words.....”
