Irfan Pathan, the former India all-rounder is fast becoming one of the most outgoing personalities on social media platform Twitter. He is not shy of putting forth his opinions on issues pertaining to cricket, other sports, politics, and issues related to the national interest.

This has led to him being troubled by many trolls on social media, who have called him names and even took things to uglier levels. But this recent instance of a Twitter user criticizing Pathan over his opinion on former India coach Greg Chappell takes things to new levels.

Irfan Pathan has repeatedly mentioned that Greg Chappell is not to be blamed for his downfall in international cricket, as according to popular belief, the Australian batting great’s policy of turning Pathan into a batting all-rounder led to the Baroda bowler losing his swing and speed in the process, as he focused more on his batting.

Irfan Pathan reveals it was Sachin Tendulkar’s idea for him to bat at no.3, not Greg Chappell’s

However, a user completely went off the rail and called Pathan a perfect candidate to become the next Hafiz Saeed, the dreaded Pakistani Islamic militant, who is a co-founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and the chief of Jama'at-ud-Da'wah, operating mainly from Pakistan.

The user tweeted, “Irfan Pathan is not hiding his ambitions to become the next Hafiz Saeed at all.. this shit is disgusting

Irfan shared the screenshot of that remark and commented,” This is the mentality of certain ppl. Where have we reached ? #shame #disgusted
