South Africa pacer Dale Steyn has revealed that his house had experienced three attempts by miscreants of trying to break into in the ongoing third phase of the Coronavirus lockdown in the country.

The 36-year-old pacer went on to add that one of the attempts scared "the hell out of" his mother, while the other one led to the destruction of his friend's car.

Steyn, 36, felt that the COVID-19 lockdown is bringing out the desperation in people and asked his countrymen to be safe and alert.

"It is at test for us, the time when people have to take care for each other but they are at the beaches, I mean what are they doing, there must be a reason why that is happening," Steyn said during a conversation with Kevin Pietersen.

Dale Steyn had also said that his mother, girlfriend, a friend, 4 dogs and a cat were going to be with him during the lockdown.
