Laxman is writing Twitter thread for his ex-teammates to acknowledge their influence on him.
Indian fast bowling great Zaheer Khan is counted as one of the most skillful pacers to play for the country. His ability to turn the game at crucial stages gave him a special place in the heart of his supporters.
But what really attracts Zaheer's ex-teammate VVS Laxman is the strength of his character. He paid tribute to the India pacer in a tweet.

"Daring to dream big and determined to chase those dreams, Zaheer Khan's journey from tiny Shrirampur to the dizzy heights of success illustrated the strength of his character," Laxman said in a tweet.
"His career-defining county stint at Worcester reiterated his desire to reinvent himself and shed comfort zones," he added.
While featuring in 92 Tests and 200 ODIs for India, Zaheer also went on to play three World Cups; in 2003, 2007, and 2011. He is also credited for India's World Cup 2011 victory as he was the joint highest wicket-taker with 21 scalps to his name.
In the final, he may have gone for runs in the latter part of Sri Lanka's innings, but in first five overs, the bowling spearhead gave only 7 runs with a wicket.
Not only in finals, even in the group stages and knockouts, his experience also played a big role and the speedster ended with joint-most wickets in the tournaments with 21 scalps.
