Former India captain Mohammed Azharuddin used to leave spectators awestruck with his magical wristwork. Although he got banned from playing cricket in 2000, still fans got to watch him play in 99 Tests and 334 ODIs for India.

The Hyderabad star took the field again and fans on social media had an opportunity to relive the old times. He shared a latest video of his batting practice on Twitter.

“Knock knock... timing it like old times,” read the caption on his official Twitter account.

Azharuddin was at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal, Hyderabad, and as he knocks the ball a stand named after him can be seen in the background.

Those who have watched him bat never get tired of admiring his skills. The way he timed the ball and placed it perfectly with the help of his magical wrists is commendable.

The 57-year-old has 6,215 runs in Tests, and 9,378 in ODIs. He also led Team India to 90 ODI victories, a record which was later broken by MS Dhoni.
