Virat Kohli changes his Twitter profile pic to the logo of Maharashtra Police to honor them

Recently, Kohli and Anushka Sharma had donated INR 5 lakhs each to Mumbai Police.

Indian captain Virat Kohli is very supportive of the noble work done by the Maharashtra and Mumbai Police in the ongoing Coronavirus crisis. The whole of Maharashtra state and Mumbai city is under severe containment zone due to rising COVID 19 cases.

Four personnel from Mumbai Police have lost their lives to this deadly virus, while the number of positive cases in the police went past 250. The Maharashtra Police department recorded 531 cases of Covid-19 on May 7.

Virat and his wife Anushka Sharma decided to contribute to the welfare of Police and donated Rs 5 lakh each. Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh thanked the couple on social media with a message on Twitter,“Thank you, @imVkohli and @AnushkaSharma for contributing Rs. 5 lacs each towards the welfare of Mumbai Police personnel. Your contribution will safeguard those at the frontline in the fight against Coronavirus. #MumbaiPoliceFoundation

In his latest post on Twitter, Virat Kohli changed his profile picture to that of the Maharashtra Police Logo in order to celebrate the noble work done by the personnel who have stood by the city through thick and thin.

Maharashtra Police has stood by citizens through calamities, attacks & disasters. Today as they lead the war against Corona on the streets, I've decided to celebrate them by changing my DP here on Twitter to the Maharashtra Police logo.  Join me in this endeavour. ????????,” Kohli tweeted.
