They discussed the roadmap going ahead for Indian team.
The ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has brought the entire world to a standstill with almost all the cricketing fixtures either being canceled or suspended, India is making sure to make the most of the time amid the nationwide COVID-19 lockdown.
During the ongoing lockdown in the country, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has decided to use the experience and acumen of India’s senior cricket team coaches Ravi Shastri, Bharat Arun, Vikram Rathour and R. Sridhar in enlightening coaches at the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

It is being reported that Shastri and his assistant coaches have discussed future plans with the India A and junior team and NCA coaches for their respective sides in online interaction – that idea had come from NCA head Rahul Dravid's office with an aim to bring in more synergy in the work of the teams.
Speaking to IANS on the move, GM Cricket Operations Saba Karim said: “That is the whole idea of having Dravid on board. Since he is heading NCA, the brainstorming and initiation of such an idea come from his office. It is good that all our national coaches are getting involved and this really augurs well for Indian cricket. Not just the coaches, but also the administrators need to be on one platform to overcome the huge challenge in front of us.”
He further added, “There has to be a smooth streamlining of the entire faculties from the national team to the U-19 level. There has to be better synergy and exchange of ideas so that all of us are moving towards the same direction.”

Meanwhile, an NCA official said: “It wasn’t an online coaching class. You can say it was an interaction where you give ideas and listen to the mindset and plans of other coaches. There has only been one such session but it is likely to be a regular affair.”
The online session was also attended by junior and NCA coaches including Paras Mhambrey, Narendra Hirwani, Abhay Sharma, and Sitanshu Kotak.
The official signed off by saying, “If senior coaches like Shastri, Arun, and Sridhar are also part of the interaction, you are bound to learn something from their rich international experience. At the moment, it is a lockdown so it was easier to organize this. It remains to be seen how often it can be done when things are normal and the Indian team is on duty.”
