Virat Kohli names his favorite batting partners during the chat with Kevin Pietersen

He also revealed his worst cricketing memory.

With no cricketing activities these days due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, cricketers are heading towards social media to interact with their fans being isolated at their homes, though Virat Kohli has decided to do something different from others amid the lockdown.

Apart from human life across the globe, the sporting world was also badly hit by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, which has claimed around 50000 lives while infected over 10 Lakh people globally so far. The Coronavirus outbreak forces all to stay indoors to help in curbing the spread of this deadly virus.

Well, Indian cricket captain, Kohli had a candid conversation with former England cricketer and commentator Kevin Pietersen on Instagram live on Thursday (April 2), where the two former Royal Challenger Bangalore (RCB) teammates talked about different thing including ongoing events.

During the conversation, Pietersen asked Kohli to name his favorite batting partner, the right-hander was quick to name his former captain MS Dhoni and when it comes to outside the national team, he is none other than South Africa superstar and his RCB teammate AB de Villiers.

Kohli explained his pick by saying: “Two people I have enjoyed most batting with, well I like to bat with people who run well and understand my calling. So, with MS Dhoni for India and with AB de Villiers otherwise. With AB the partnership just flows. We don’t even talk cricket.”

Meanwhile, the two also talked about a rare moment from 2011, when Kohli dismissed Pietersen to take up his first T20I wicket – off his 0th delivery. The 30-year-old was the first bowler to take a wicket off the zeroth delivery of his T20I career after Pietersen was stumped off a wide delivery in that match.

On the same, Kohli said, “I am the only bowler to have picked up a wicket without bowling a legitimate delivery. It was zero balls and one wicket. You were so embarrassed that you didn’t even look at me.”

The dashing right-hander has also spoken about some other off-field thing, some of which Pietersen conveyed from fans like asked to pick one between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and he went for Portuguese footballer.

Kohli also revealed that he would never shave because he does not look good without a beard while picking India’s 2011 ICC World Cup triumph as his best cricketing memory.

He also said the worst cricketing memory is the horrendous tour of England he had in 2014.
