Shoaib Akhtar says "Coronavirus pandemic will leave more people bankrupt than dead"

He also urged all to help each other in this critical time.

The ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) is the most challenging crisis the world has been witnessing this century and the outbreak will definitely trigger a global economic crisis this year.

While the deadly COVID-19 outbreak has brought the entire world to a standstill, the fast-growing virus is spreading at furious speed all around the world, killing over 40000 peoples while infecting near 10 Lakh peoples internationally besides sending the global economy reeling.

The developing countries will suffer the most from this COVID-19 crisis, which has not even spared global superpowers, given the current struggle in containing the deadly virus and the huge amount the disease is eating in saving lives and also thanks to the lockdown.

Well, former Pakistan speedster Shoaib Akhtar, who has been extremely vocal and even released multiple videos to express his views on the global outbreak of COVID-19 on social media, has also expressed his concern over the financial crisis that the world will see due to the pandemic.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, Shoaib has expressed his concerns about the after-effects of the outbreak. He believes that the ongoing coronavirus pandemic is sure to leave more people bankrupt than dead.

He wrote on Twitter: “This coronavirus pandemic is going to leave more people bankrupt than dead,”

Akhtar, who is known as the Rawalpindi Express, had recently urged people to help each other during this challenging time irrespective of caste, creed, and religion.

The legendary pacer had said in a YouTube video: “Request all my fans all across the globe. Coronavirus is a global crisis and we have to think as a global force, rise above religion. Lockdown is happening so that the virus does not spread. If you are doing interaction and meeting in places, it will not help.”

He further added, “If you are hoarding things, please think about the daily wage workers. Stores are empty. What is the guarantee that you will live after three months? Think about the daily wage worker, how will he feed his family? Think about people, time to be a human, not Hindu, Muslim. People will have to help each other, collect funds. Stop hoarding.”

Shoaib signed off by saying: “Rich will still survive; how will the poor survive? Have faith. We are living like animals, live like humans. Try to be helpful, please stop storing stuff. It is time we look after each other. No time to be divided, we have to live as humans.”
