Ricky Ponting is one of the biggest names in Australian cricket. He was one of the greatest skippers he Australian team ever had as the Baggy greens lost only a handful of matches across formats under his captaincy.

Ponting initially had some big shoes to fill as he took over the leadership from Steve Waugh. But the right-hander handled it quite well in Australia’s tour of South Africa in 2002 in which he not only won the game for Aussies but also completed his century with a last ball six off spinner Paul Adams.
