Maharashtra has the highest number of COVID-19 cases.
India cricketer Ajinkya Rahane came ahead to help the needy people in Maharashtra. He has made a donation of Rs 10 lakh to the Maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund in the COVID-19 pandemic.
Rahane confirmed the news on social media. He is ready to help people in this tough time.

"Happy to see corporates, sporting fraternity supporting the nation during the #CovidCrisis. Today @ajinkyarahane88 donated 10 lacs to the #CMReliefFund. In the past, he has always put his hand up for farmers. Well done Jinks @CMOMaharashtra @AUThackeray," wrote Vikram Sathaye.
Ajinkya responded, "This is just my tiny bit and a drop in the ocean. I will do my best to support in this difficult time. Meanwhile, stay home stay safe."
Apart from Rahane, Sachin Tendulkar donated Rs 50 lakh, and Suresh Raina contributed Rs 52 lakh. The cricket body in India, BCCI also announced a Rs 51 crore donation to the PM relief fund for the fight against the pandemic.
