However, the Asia Cup 2020 may still be a few months away, but this cricket event may be impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, as the deadly outbreak is rapidly spreading all around the world has once again forced the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to postpone its meeting.
As the circumstances worldwide continue to become worse by the day due to the COVID-19 outbreak, ACC had only choice to postpone its meeting to finalize the possible multiple venues of Asia Cup 2020 which is likely to be again held in the UAE as India is adamant on its refusal to travel to Pakistan.
The pandemic had previously forced the ACC to postponed its meeting in Dubai on March 3 which was to later took place later this month, but it was eventually postponed with the ACC hoping to discuss the matter in the sidelines of the ICC meeting which will now take place via video link on March 29.

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has hosting rights for the forthcoming Asia Cup 2020, but the BCCI president Sourav Ganguly made India’s stance clear that they will not travel to Pakistan in the prevailing political situation but they have not any objection with any neutral venue.
The PCB was desperate to host the tournament on their own soil, as it would do good for the full-fledged return of international cricket to Pakistan but India’s refusal to travel the country forced them to at least consider the option of requesting the ACC executive board to allow it to host some matches — against other teams like Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, or Afghanistan in the country.
A source told PTI, “PCB's stance is that, with international cricket slowly returning to Pakistan, it could benefit from hosting a few games of the Asia Cup at home.”
Noteworthy, the fate of Asia Cup 2020 totally depends on the hands of the coronavirus outbreak which is furiously spreading in the Asin countries after destroying European countries.
