Jaydev Unadkat announces his engagement on social media

Unadkat captained Saurashtra to their maiden Ranji Trophy title in 2020.

Saurashtra’s Ranji Trophy-winning captain Jaydev Unadkat got engaged to a girl named Rinny. Unadkat had topped the wickets charts in the recently concluded Ranji season, where he led his team to the title with a first-innings lead win over Bengal in the final.  

He picked 67 wickets at an average of 13.23 – the most by a pacer in the history of the competition and the second-most overall. The left-arm seamer from Porbandar has also talked about making a return to the Indian team.

“I still have that hunger to make a comeback. The hunger has never been stronger than this and that actually kept me going throughout the season,” said Unadkat.

Unadkat shared the photo with his fiancée with caption, “6 hours, 2 meals & 1 shared mud cake later.. ????❤️”

His teammate Cheteshwar Pujara, who attended the ceremony along with wife Puja also shared an image on his social media and congratulated Jaydev Unadkat with a message, “Welcome to the family Rinny. I am so glad that my brother @JUnadkat has found the love of his life. ???? P:S -  You have to deal with a lot of bromance.”
