Amid the speculations over her love affair with Kagiso Rabada, South African rapper Sho Madjozi on Friday (February 28) cleared the air, saying she is only friends with the Proteas speedster.

Earlier this month, Rabada missed the white-ball leg of England’s tour to South Africa as he was rested after the hectic 2019.

During that break, the 24-year-old fast bowler had some time off in the United States where he met Madjozi and the duo was spotted at a number of events including the NBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago.

“We are actually friends,” Madjozi told Tshisa Live on the red carpet at the Premiere of the brand new Netflix series Queen Sono.

“I suppose the rumours come from the fact that we hang out a lot and I am a big fan of cricket.”

The pair was spotted together before as well but Rabada had dismissed the rumours of their alleged relationship.

“She’s a friend of mine. A year and a half ago, we were chatting on Instagram, then we just became friends. We’ve been friends ever since,” Rabada stated to the Magazine in February 2020.

Meanwhile, Kagiso Rabada will be out of action for at least four weeks after sustaining a groin strain during the just-concluded T20I series against Australia.

According to CSA's chief medical officer Dr Shuaib Manjra, Rabada won’t feature in the upcoming ODI series against Australia and India.

"Kagiso sustained a groin muscle strain in the T20 series against Australia," said Dr Shuaib. "He was assessed by the medical staff, assisted by an MRI scan.

"The significant injury means that he will take approximately four weeks to heal, which effectively rules him out of both the Australia and India ODI series. The CSA medical staff will ensure his effective and expeditious recovery."
