Pandya is looking to attain full fitness ahead of the Indian Premier League.

India's all-rounder Hardik Pandya wants to be a hundred percent fit before the Indian Premier League (IPL), after missing out from the New Zealand tour. He is also in with a shout to be back for India with the three-match ODI series against South Africa.

Pandya, who underwent surgery in England last year, couldn't recover on time to attain full fitness. He even failed to make it to the four-day matches against New Zealand A.

Pandya has now started preparation and was seen practicing in the nets at National Cricket Academy (NCA). The all-rounder looked fluent with the bat in the video circulating on Twitter.

About Hardik failing to prove his fitness ahead of New Zealand A series, his trainer S Rajnikanth had confirmed he didn't fail any fitness test, but he wanted to ensure the all-rounder should not get exposed to heavy workload in international matches.

"He is 100% fit. There is no doubt about that. But I don't want him to take the workload of back-to-back international matches. No fitness test has been conducted for Pandya yet, so there's no question of him failing any test," Rajnikanth had told TOI.
