Shafali Verma fulfills her childhood dream of meeting Sachin Tendulkar

Shafali broke Sachin's record, becoming youngest Indian to make international fifty.

Batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar has been one of the greatest ambassadors of the game. There has been a lot of cricketers from all over the world who credit legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar for taking up cricket or getting them excited about the sport.

The 16-year-old Shafali Verma is also one of them as she recently fulfilled her childhood dream by meeting her idol when she met the Mumbai based batsman in Australia and tweeted a photo with Tendulkar.

The reason I took up this game was because of Sachin sir. My whole family has not just idolised but literally worshipped him. Today is a special day for me that I got to meet my childhood hero. It was a dream come true for me. @sachin_rt,” she wrote.
