RP Singh thanks BCCI after getting selected as a CAC member

The 34-year-old Singh is the youngest member of CAC.

Recently, former India pacer Rudra Pratap Singh was recently appointed as a Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) member and on Saturday (February 1), Singh thanked BCCI for the same.

"Thank you @BCCI @JayShah and my former captain @SGanguly99 for this new responsibility. As a player, I have always tried to give my best and same will be my motto as a CAC member. Also thanks to all my fans for their warn wishes," he wrote on Twitter.

Initially, Gautam Gambhir was considered for this role but eventually not selected as he is a serving Member of Parliament and ended up making way for Singh.

The CAC's first and foremost task will be finding replacements for the outgoing selectors MSK Prasad and Gagan Khoda.
