Indian captain Virat Kohli remained static at the top of the ICC Test player ranking for batsmen as the International Cricket Council (ICC) updated rankings on Friday (January 24).
Cheteshwar Pujara (791 points) and Ajinkya Rahane are the other two Indian batsmen who have managed to find themselves in the top 10 of the ICC Test rankings for batsmen.
Kohli is currently leading the chart with 928 points - 17 more points than second-placed Steve Smith with his deputy Rahane moving up a place to eighth place at the Test rankings with 759 points.

With Ravindra Jadeja occupying the third place in the all-rounder’s list with 438 points, Ashwin is the fifth-ranked all-rounder in the latest rankings.
Meanwhile, after the Port Elizabeth Test, where he cracked a brilliant knock of 120 runs, Ben Stokes has equaled his career-best second ranking among all-rounders, while the Englishman is ranked 10th among batsmen and 29th among bowlers at the moment.
On the other hand, veteran Sri Lankan batsman Angelo Mathews has advanced eight places to reach 16th position after his unbeaten knock of 200 runs in Harare to help the tourists to win the first Test by 10 wickets to take a 1-0 lead in the two-Test series against Zimbabwe.
