Australia had won the ODI series by margin of 3-2 in 2019 in India.
The three ODI matches will be played in Mumbai on January 14, in Rajkot on January 17 and the final match in Bengaluru on January 2020. This will be the last home series for India before they travel to New Zealand for an extended tour.
Meanwhile, the BCCI has decided to name a strong team against Australia. Jasprit Bumrah and Shikhar Dhawan have been included in the squad. Deepak Chahar misses out due to his back injury, while Navdeep Saini and Shardul Thakur retain their place in the squad.
