Virat Kohli has added another feather to his cap as he emerged as the highest earning Indian celebrity of 2019.

With estimated earnings, fame and social media popularity being the parameters, the Indian captain has managed to surpass Bollywood stars like Akshay Kumar and Salman Khan to own the top spot.
According to the list released by Forbes India magazine, Kohli’s estimated earnings in 2019 were Rs 252.72 crore followed by Akshay’s 293.25 crore. Last year, the same magazine had Virat at the second position.
Salman Khan, who owned the pole position in 2018, has slipped to the third slot in this year’s list with an estimated earning of Rs 229.25 crore.
Although Akshay earned more than Kohli in 2019, the India skipper clinched the top spot on the basis of his annual earning as well as fame quotient considered through print and social media reach.
Virat Kohli’s exploits as a batsman and captain have won him plenty of fans around the world in the last few years. He has already aggregated 70 international hundreds and is the only batsman in the world to boast an average of above 50 in Tests, ODIs and T20Is.
