Shakib was the second ranked all-rounder in the world before getting banned by ICC for failing to report corrupt approaches.
Two weeks after getting banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for violating Anti-Corruption Code, Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan didn't find a place in the latest T20I rankings released by the world body on Monday (November 11).
Shakib was ranked second on the all-rounders' list before he was handed a two-year ban (one of which is suspended) for failing to report multiple corrupt approaches from a bookie.
In the T20I bowling and batting charts, Shakib was also placed at 9th and 32nd positions respectively. However, in the updated rankings, Shakib's name has been dropped altogether.
Notably, the 32-year-old is still ranked 3rd in Tests and first in ODIs among all-rounders in the ICC rankings. But he could find himself left out from the longer version lists too once it will be updated by the governing body.
In the all-rounders' table, Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi has now taken the top spot followed by Glenn Maxwell, who has also taken an indefinite break from cricket to sort out mental health difficulties.
Meanwhile, India pacer Deepak Chahar, who returned with the record-breaking bowling figures of 6/7 in the third T20I against Bangladesh in Nagpur, has jumped up 88 slots to 42nd position in the latest ICC T20I rankings for bowlers.
The list though is still dominated by slow bowlers. Rashid Khan (757 rating points) is holding the top spot followed by Mitchell Santner (700 rating points), Imad Wasim (686 rating points), Adam Zampa (678 rating points) and Shadab Khan (673 rating points). Adil Rashid (7th), Mujeeb Ur Rahman (8th) and Ashton Agar (9th) are the other three spinners in the top 10.
The batting list is headed by Pakistan captain Babar Azam with 876 rating points while Australia skipper Aaron Finch has moved up two spots to reach second position.
