“After discussions with the owners of Islamabad United, they have decided to go with a new coach this year. Slightly disappointed after the fact that we win two championships and won six playoffs out of eight. It was wonderful four years as we got to see some great kids go on to play for Pakistan. I wish the franchise all the best,” said the former Australian batsman in a video.
According to a report on ESPNCricinfo, instead, they have chosen Pakistan head coach-cum- chief selector Misbah Ul Haq as the new coach of their franchise. Though Islamabad is yet to announce the signing, the incoming of Misbah has led to other franchises raising objections on the ground of conflict of interest.
