He took just five wickets in four games at World Cup 2019.
Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa admitted that he didn’t play at the World Cup 2019 the way he wanted but he is now keen on to put that poor outing behind and is looking forward to starting the domestic season with a fresh mind.
He had a decent build-up to the World Cup, taking 19 wickets in 13 games, including a career-best 4/43, but he failed to take this form to the ICC event where he took just five wickets in four games.
The leg-spinner was a bit disappointed with his show in the World Cup, blaming the weather conditions for his poor performances in England. Now, the leg-spinner is all set for his first appearance in the Marsh Cup 2019 since the World Cup and he is ready to give his best in the domestic season.

Zampa told cricket.com.au, “I suppose the way the World Cup went; people expected the leg-spinners to have a different tournament to what they did. The weather didn't help that, the wickets weren't as dry as we expected them to be. But, yeah, personally it didn't go the way I felt it should.”

While his List A record has been impressive over the years with 118 wickets in 82 matches, including four four-wicket hauls and the 27-year-old insisted that he has faith in his process, and he will not "change too much" of his approach in the upcoming games.
Zampa signed off by saying, “I'm pretty consistent, so I'm going to keep it pretty simple and do what I've always done. I'm not going to change too much. I've had a really a good few years in one-day cricket, particularly at the domestic level.”
