Indian off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin turns 33 today. Fellow cricketers and fans have poured in their wishes for the celebrated bowler on social media.
Ashwin, who was India’s highest wicket-taker during India’s home season in 2015/16 is finding it difficult to cement his spot in the side on away tours. However, with a new home season starting this month, he might be in action once again to remind the selectors of his abilities.
The Chennai-lad, who was once at the top of ICC Test Bowlers Rankings, currently has 342 wickets in 65 Tests and 2361 runs at an average touch under 30. He has a whopping 26 fifers in the longest format of the game. In ODIs, he has 150 wickets in 111 games and 52 wickets in 46 T20Is. In the IPL, he has picked 125 wickets in 139 matches.
