Pakistan cricket fraternity mourns the demise of Abdul Qadir who passed away at 63

Abdul Qadir was one of the most successful spinners for Pakistan.

Former Pakistan captain Abdul Qadir passed away due to a cardiac arrest at the age of 63 in Lahore on Friday (September 6). He played 67 Tests and 104 ODIs for Pakistan, picking up 236 and 132 wickets respectively.

The champion leg-spinner was shifted to Services Hospital in Lahore but could not survive the massive attack.

Qadir made his Test debut in 1977 and last represented his country in 1993. He also served as the chief selector of the PCB.

PCB tweeted after the news of Qadir's demise came through, "PCB is shocked at the news of 'maestro' Abdul Qadir's passing and has offered its deepest condolences to his family and friends."

The Pakistan cricket fraternity was left deeply saddened after hearing about Qadir and expressed their grief on Twitter.
