Jimmy Neesham, the Kiwi all-rounder has been very active on social media and has gained some reputation, thanks to his witty responses to fans who take a dig at him.

The 28-year-old was in the news for his heroics in the recently concluded World Cup 2019 held in England. After the World Cup final at Lord’s, Neesham will be taking field for the BlackCaps in the T20I series against Sri Lanka scheduled from September at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

While Neesham is in Sri Lanka practicing for the upcoming T20I series, went on Instagram and decided to have a Q&A session with his followers. In this Q&A session, one of his followers asked about his favourite Indian Cricketer.

While everyone expected him to say either Virat Kohli or the legendary right-hand batsman Sachin Tendulkar, the left-hand batting all-rounder’s clever response to the question surprised everyone.

Here is what Neesham answered:

For anyone who doesn’t know, Ish Sodhi or Inderbir Singh Sodhi was born in Ludhiyana, Punjab on October 31, 1992. Thus, technically, Neesham is right in naming Sodhi as his favourite Indian player, given that the right-arm leg spinner is Indian by birth. This is his unique way of trolling his fans on social media and keeping them in good spirits.
