Rishabh Pant has proved his all critics wrong by playing a crucial role in India’s series-leveling win over New Zealand at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday (9th February) and Harbhajan Singh was all in awe for the young gun, saying he is an X factor which India will need in the World Cup 2019.

At the middle, Pant brilliantly showed his mind-game in Auckland during his unbeaten knock of 40 off 28 balls hit 4 fours and one maximum and made full use of his opportunity with MS Dhoni to help India to cross the line inside 18.5 overs with the loss of three wickets over the Black Caps.

Following the second T20I of the three-match series in Auckland, Harbhajan was full of praise for young Pant, saying he is making a strong case for his inclusion in the World Cup 2019 squad with his every outing in the blue.

Harbhajan told Aaj Tak, “Rishabh Pant made full use of his opportunity today and batting with MS Dhoni. When he hit a few casual shots, Dhoni walked up to him and explained what he needed to do. After that, he played safer shots, down the ground and hit only the balls which were there to be hit.”

He signed off by saying, “Every opportunity will take Pant closer to the World Cup squad, especially if he continues to keep scoring like this. I fell he has that X factor which India will need in the World Cup. Pant is someone who can change games.”
