Delhi is choking as the air quality is getting worse day by day. Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) was an average of 449 on Monday, only slightly better than the 450 on Sunday

The level of air currently is the worst this year. Christmas Day in the national capital is a bleak.

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir is fazed by the air quality in Delhi. He lashed out at the Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal with his sarcastic tweet on Christma.

Gambhir is very bold and vocal and speaks out on public issues and national topics. The toxic smog trapped over Delhi has made life tough for the Delhiites.

The cricketer posed a picture of Santa Claus wearing an air filter mask and wrote, “Sir Ji, ‘आप’ आज्ञा दे तो मैं आऊँ?.........वैसे, कम से कम Christmas Tree ही लगवा दीजिए sir। @ArvindKejriwal @drharshvardhan @CPCB_OFFICIAL #delhipollution #pollutionindelhi. ( “Sir, can I come with your (AAP) permission (in Delhi)? However, plant some Christmas trees, at least.)"

The concentration of particulate matter in the air of Delhi hit emergency levels on Saturday evening. The condition turned appalling on Sunday evening when hourly levels of PM 2.5 and PM 10 rose to more than 15 times over daily permissible limits in the areas of Anand Vihar, Wazirpur and Ashok Vihar.
