MS Dhoni attended India Cements board meeting for the first time

Dhoni was appointed as the vice-president of the India Cements back in 2013.

Former Indian captain MS Dhoni took part in the India Cements Ltd company's board meeting in Chennai. His arrival did excite the executives of the company.

As per reports, the meeting was to keep a check on the financial performance and review for the quarter and half year period ending Septemeber 30, 2018.

Dhoni showed interest in company expansion plans for the financial year 2018-19. This was Dhoni's first board meeting, as the company officials revealed.

Dhoni was appointed as vice-president of India Cements, a company which is headed by former BCCI President N Srinivasan. 

"He is our greatest asset. He has already visited India Cements facilities--one in Banswara, Rajasthan and at Sankar Nagar (Tamil Nadu)," company Vice-Chairman and managing director, Srinivasan said.

On his visit to manufacturing facilities of the company, Dhoni said it helped him understand the process of cement manufacturing.

When asked about the journey of Chennai Super Kings to their third IPL title, he said, "I never knew, I will be part of CSK."

After an unfortunate incident in Chennai, CSK had to shift their matches to Pune after just one game. About the change, Dhoni had said it's the surface which was the most challenging part.

India Cements are the owners of Chennai Super Kings of which Dhoni has been the captain since 2008.
