Gautam Gambhir Foundation has taken the responsibility of 25 children of CRPF soldiers.
Veteran Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir is one of the kind-hearted players in world cricket and always been there to help the families of martyrs from the armed forces, even he runs the non-profit organization especially to help the needy belongs to Army.
Recently, his organization “Gautam Gambhir Foundation (GGF)” extended their support by taking all the responsibility of a 5-year-old child named Abhirun Das, son of a CRPF Jawan who sacrificed himself during an ambush last year. The slain jawan Divakar hailed from Palashbari in Assam.
According to reports in Times8, Gambhir’s foundation has taken the responsibility to bear the full expenses to educate the child, and for his humanitarian move, the Delhi-born cricketer has been receiving appreciation from the Palashbari locals all over Assam.
Meanwhile, Gambhir’s Foundation is also working towards helping the underprivileged children with basic necessities like food and education besides helping the families of martyrs from the armed forces.
It is also learned that the Foundation has taken the responsibility of 25 children of CRPF soldiers who were killed during the ambush by Maoists Sukma in Chattisgarh in 2017.
Shedding light on his on-field antics, Gambhir had a poor outing with Delhi Daredevils (DD) in the recently concluded Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018, manages only 85 runs in 6 matches.
He was also given the responsibility to lead DD in the IPL 2018, but after few defeats and his poor show with the willow he stepped down from the role. Later, Shreyas Iyer was given the role and under him, Gautam didn’t feature in the rest of the games.
