Sachin Tendulkar to meet holy Dalai Lama

Sachin Tendulkar will inaugurate the HPCA cricket museum in Dharamshala.

Sachin Tendulkar, the former Indian cricketer, has arrived in Dharamshala for a three-day visit to lay down the foundation stone for a cricket museum that will be set-up by the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. On his visit, he will supposedly meet the  Tibetan spiritual leader Dalai Lama. 

The cricket museum will be situated at the picturesque HPCA stadium in Dharamshala at the foothills of the Dhauladhar mountains.

The 45-year-old Bharat Ratna awardee's wax statue will also be in the museum and it will showcase the master blaster's cricketing gear including gloves, pads, jerseys, bats among other articles also. Besides Tendulkar’s statue, the museum will also feature statues and other memorabilia of Kapil Dev, Rahul Dravid, and Anil Kumble, along with replicas of trophies that India has won.

HPCA spokesperson Sanjay Sharma said Tendulkar will also inaugurate a cricket centre of excellence set up by Asian Cricket Council at Dharamshala stadium.
