The stadium will have all the modern day facilities.
Tripura Cricket Association is set to build a cricket stadium, which will be the second largest in north-east after the stadium in Guwahati. It has been said that the stadium will have a seating capacity of 25,000 and will be constructed in collaboration with BCCI at Narsinghgarh near Tripura.
“It is a Rs 200 crore project of which 50 per cent would be borne by BCCI and the rest by TCA,†Tapas Dey, the TCA secretary quoted saying to the reporters.
One thing is for sure that the stadium will be a contemporary one, with all the modern day facilities. Moreover, it will be capable of hosting all sorts of international matches. Tripuar’s Chief Minister Manik Sarkar yesterday inaugurated the work to be done in the stadium.
“It is a good initiative by the TCA and will provide further opportunity to young cricket players in the state,†the Chief Minister said.
“We have no dearth of sports talent in the state but we need to train them properly,†he added.

Besides the amazing facility, the club house will be a seven-storied building with superior lifts, gymnasium and electronic score boards.
